I started in real estate doing appraisals in 2002. I went into sales in 2004 for Weichert, REALTORS® and then went to work for Keller Williams realty in 2007 where I stayed for over ten years. When the opportunity opened up for me, I opened my own brokerage in September of 2017.

What happens once you accept an offer form a qualified home buyer?
Almost all of the time the buyer will bring in a certified Home Inspector to look over the entire home and to inform the home buyer of any item of interest or defects. Sometimes, the buyer will want to renegotiate the deal depending on what the inspector finds.
If everything goes well, you will enter contract with the buyer using your attorney. If the buyer is using a loan to purchase the home, the lender will almost always require a licensed appraiser to inspect the home and then compare the home to recent comparable home sales from the area. Once the appraiser and lender under writer approve everything, we set a closing date.
At the closing, we will be waiting and waiting for the bank to go ahead and give us clearance to close at which point, the money will be wired to the escow account and the Title transfer will proceed and your home will be SOLD!
What are some of the closing costs involved in selling your home?
Attorneys in our area typically cost between $1000 and $2000 . The real estate brokers and their agents are paid also at the closing. New York state also has a transfer tax of $4 per $1000 which is normally paid by the seller.
